I was playing with Xaviar when my husband George rushed in. He grabbed me and kissed me.
“What was that for?” I laughed
“Our son has a future!”
I just stared at him. I had no clue what he meant. No one had a real future in this post war world. You just survived the best you could. In fact, I hadn’t even wanted to have children. Xaviar was George’s idea.
“A real future honey,” he said, “In a world without crime and pollution and nuclear waste.”
“You mean a imaginary world?” I asked.
“No, this is real. Do you remember that Harmony Colony project I told you about?”
“Yes. You said it was a pipe dream that would never work.”
“Well I was wrong. Terribly wrong. And when I realized it was actually going to work I applied for inclusion.”
I continued to stare at him, confused. Then I realized what he was trying to say. “Honey are you saying…are you saying we’re included?”
He nodded. “We’re leaving honey. We’re leaving this horrible war ravaged world.”
“We were leaving? We’re really leaving?”
”Yes, hon, we’re leaving”
I laughed and grabbed up Xaviar into my arms, “Our son has a future!”

What a great family and Xaviar is a real cutie. I can’t wait to see what they do with this new life.
